Hello, and thank you for your interest in joining our Play A Song Saturday (PASS for short) music groups!

Our goal with these groups is to be the premier music fan groups on Facebook and elsewhere.

We strive to achieve that goal doing 3 things. One is that all of our groups are hidden so that they can't be found in a search unless you're a member. And because these groups are hidden, they are invite only by default which is the 2nd way we strive to make our groups the best on the web. Having our groups invite only is a great way for us to ensure that spammers, scammers, porn bots, trolls and other bad actors stay OUT of our groups, since if you're a member of any other online groups, especially on Facebook, that is a really huge problem currently!

Another level of security that we take in order to ensure that our groups remain top notch is that we do charge a small weekly price of admission to join. We know that there will be some out there that won't like that very much, but let's consider it. Would you rather go and join all of the different free groups out there that are all completely overrun with garbage bots and other nonsense or would you rather pay a very small price so that you can actually join a group that focuses on the topic that the group is about? Plus you do have to remember that old adage, "You get what you pay for." Free stuff is not always the best stuff! Also the price that we ask for to join just one of our groups is very small anyway - probably less than half of what you would pay for a crappy cup of coffee at your local coffeehouse. Or better yet, it's probably more comparable to what your normal daily newspaper would cost, and we can practically guarantee that the content that is posted in our groups will be MUCH more entertaining than reading all of the crap coming out of your daily rag!

So I'm sure your asking yourself, what's the purpose of these PASS groups anyway? Well that's real simple! PASS is the place for people to share their love and passion for music! Let's put it this way, if you feel that good music is about as essential to life as food, water and air, well you've definitely come to the right place!

We try to make our groups as laid back as possible, and we accept all kinds of music here - rock, pop, country, metal, hip hop, R&B, jazz, classical, bluegrass, EDM, reggae, world music, you name it! From AC/DC to ABBA to Air Supply, from Taylor Swift to Toby Keith to Testament, from Bob Marley to Barry Manilow to Metallica, Kenny Chesney to KC & The Sunshine Band, Bruce Springsteen to Slayer, Neil Diamond to Napalm Death, Jimi Hendrix to Jimmy Buffett and anything and everything else in between, we accept it ALL! And you don't have to post just your favorite songs here either. As long as it relates to music, it's allowed here. Maybe your favorite band or artist is going out on tour soon or they just released a new album or single. Great! Let's talk about it! Or maybe you know a struggling band or artist and you want to help promote their music. This would be a GREAT place to do that! The possibilities are endless here!

We have groups spread out across 11 (yes, 11!) different social media and chat platforms currently - Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, MeWe, GroupMe, Viber, Skype, and Quora. There may be more added in the future but we aren't sure yet. If you happen to know of a good platform that we could setup a group on, then by all means feel free to shoot us an email. Also, you're more than welcome to join as many of our groups as you wish although it's most likely each group will have it's own content that will be exclusive to it. But unfortunately, with all great things, there have to be some limits. So we also have listed below some ground rules that everyone will need to follow:

Ground Rules

• These groups are English language only groups - We don't mind if the music you're posting is in a foreign language, but since the vast majority of the target audience for these groups will be English speaking, please make sure your posts are in English.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to join - There will be some times in our groups that some of the content will be of an adult oriented nature, so to be on the safe side, we're not allowing anyone under 18 years of age to join our groups.
• There is a ZERO tolerance policy towards trolling, bullying, or harassment - We're actually not anticipating this to be too much of a problem since we do charge an admission fee to join our groups, but since there probably are some people out there who have reached that very special level of stupid that actually get off on spending their hard earned money (albeit not that much) just so that they can bully and harass people, we're going to post it here anyway. Anyone caught deliberately trolling, bullying, or harassing people in our groups will be immediately and permanently banned. No exceptions! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
• Keep it on topic! - We run music groups here, so we talk about music. Trying to post anything not related to that will most likely be deleted, and posting anything that could be deemed in violation of a platform's TOS (ie porn, cruelty, hate, extreme violence, etc) as well posting anything political or religious will led to an immediate and permanent ban.
• Try to keep it clean(ish) - We totally don't mind a few curse words mentioned here and there (We all say them anyway), but posting an expletive filled rant about how shitty your day at work was today probably wouldn't be a good idea, so don't do it (Plus it's most likely that most people won't care anyway.). If anything, if you're having a bad day, you might just be better off enjoying some of the wonderful music being posted in our groups! 😁
• Our groups are judgement free zones! - Yes, there will be people in our groups that will have different musical tastes than you do. Please be respectful of that. If you see something in the group that you don't like, please do not start any unnecessary drama by berating and trolling the person making the post. Just kindly move on and don't say anything.
• No Buy/Sell/Trade posts are allowed along with no promotions/crowdfunding/e-begging - This all has to do with with trying to keep scammers and spammers out of our groups. Plus since our groups target a worldwide audience, allowing things like this wouldn't be very practical anyway.
• No hijacking of posts. - You know how some people like to try to change the subject of someone's post by posting their own unrelated content in the comments? Yeah, that's not cool, so don't do it. You'd be much better off just doing the right thing by creating your own post.
• NEVER ask to become an admin or moderator! - Doing so will lead to an immediate and permanent ban. If we feel like you're worthy of being a moderator, we will invite you to become one.
• No PMing of other members unless they specifically ask for it. - Should hopefully be self explanatory. This is, again, to cut down on the scammers and spammers that might try to sneak their way into our groups.
• Absolutely under NO circumstances is ANYONE allowed to invite people into our groups! - If you know someone (friend or family member or whoever) who wants to join our groups, please refer them to this website so that they can sign up. Inviting people into our groups without them paying will lead to immediate and permanent bans for both the inviter and the invitee, so don't do it!
